Designer silk scarves by Penny Maltby. Penny brings to life the handcrafted techniques, shapes aesthetics and traditions of our rural past and traditional straw work in a modern, wearable form. Her designs reflect her practice of ‘looking both ways’, -to the handmade of her straw work and into the future through her digital interpretation. She also likes to support other specialist British businesses and her scarves are digitally printed at a specialist silk mill in Macclesfield, UK. They are also have a team of talented stitchers who complete the exquisite hand rolled hems.
